As part of my course, How to Think Sideways (see previous post), I am working on a science fiction novel.  Never thought I’d write science fiction, but here I am.  In order to prepare myself, I am brushing up on my astronomy and astrophysics.  Quite a daunting task, I assure you.  I am listening to lectures from a college Astronomy course, and I have a textbook to supplement that learning.  I’m also doing specific research on certain topics using Wikipedia (a writer’s second-best friend).

It goes without saying that astronomy is a very widely diversified topic.  Right now, I’ve got so much information that my brain is trying to desperately filter.  I think I smell smoke.  Oh, but it’s so cool.

You see, today is a momentous day.

Today, my story found a home. :)
